Sunset & Sunrise Solstice Celebration

Description: Start this season off with intention, empowerment, and the fiery rising sun. Join in an overnight sunset/sunrise ceremony, honouring of the summer solstice and witnessing the blazing sun peaking over the horizon on it’s first sunrise of summer. 

The intention with this 12-hour ceremony is to embrace and celebrate our personal and collective power in collaboration with the solar energy.

What to Expect: We begin with a potluck at 7:00pm before settling into our evening ceremony together as the sunsets on the longest day of the year. 

We then shift into the sanctuary of the CorUnum Yurt amongst the cedar trees to settle into our nests for the night. We will journey into sleep giving gratitude to spring and giving way to dreams of summer with Ocian’s etheric sound medicine. 

Rise at 4:00am for a quick drive to Island View Beach where we will commence in a sunrise ceremony with the magic of a delicious, heart-opening cacao elixir.

Return to the Yurt for a light fruit, granola and yogurt breakfast.

We close with a sharing circle, time to stretch and clear the way before we walk into the first summer day.

Schedule:

7pm to 8:30pm – Potluck

8:45pm to 9:45pm – Sunset ceremony

10:00pm to 10:30pm – Socialize & sleeping space set-up

10:30pm – ‘Into Sleep’ Sound Journey

11pm – Lights out

4:00am – Wake up with sound medicine

4:30am – Drive to Island View Beach

5:00am to 5:45am – Sunrise ceremony with cacao

6:00am – Drive back to Yurt

6:15am – Light breakfast with fruit, yogurt, and granola

6:45am – Sharing circle/closing, stretch

8:30am – Pack up

What to bring:

-Sleeping gear (foamie, sleeping bag, pillow, earplugs)

-Potluck dish with ingredients label

-Drinking water vessel

-Layers of clothing

-Flashlight

-rattle, drum or other sound makers if you have them.
-altar piece, something that symbolizes empowerment for you.
-an offering to the land (tobacco, cedar, flowers etc)
